Dovery Manor Museum is a not-for-profit charitable organisation whose aim
is to provide an insight into the delightful Exmoor village of Porlock
and nearby communities.
The museum is run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers
We believe every visit to Porlock should start and end at the Information Centre. At the start we can help with your holiday plans by offering information about places to visit, where to eat, what’s on, the best walks, views and trips. At the end of your holiday we have a wonderful range of locally-sourced gifts to buy as a reminder of your visit and to take home for those not lucky enough to come with you. And should your visit to Porlock Vale be of a more permanent nature we’re here for you too with a Welcome to Porlock pack for new residents with details of forthcoming events, local groups and activities. Call in and find out what we can do for you – and if we don’t know the answer to your question, we’ll probably know someone who does!

The Church of St Dubricius in Porlock, Somerset, England dates from the 13th century. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.[1]
The dedication is to Dubricius (c. 465 – 550 or 612), a 6th-century Briton ecclesiastic venerated as a saint and may indicate he travelled to the area.
The church stands on the site of an earlier church which may date from around 1120.[2] Restoration work was undertaken in the 15th century.[3] The spire was damaged in a storm of 1703.[4] Further restoration was undertaken between 1888 and 189
